My favourite recipe is CHANA DAL BARFI whose recipe is passing through generations from my granny to mumma and now to me.

    Ingredients

    CHANADAL (250grms),

    SUGAR (200grms),

    GHEE(150grms)

    Cardamom (4 pieces)

    For Decoration-Saffron,Almonds,Rose petals

  • 1Soking CHANA DAL for overnight.

    2Then grinding it in mixer without adding water.

    3Take ghee in a nonstick kadahi.

    4Put it over flame when oil heats up

    5add grinded daal in it.saute till the granules of daal soaked ghee...atleat for 15 minutes.

    6Moisture of daal should go.now add sugar n Cardamom n mix.

    7Sugar will melt in kadahi with in seconds...when it gets the consistency of thick paste.

    8swich off the flame.

    9Transfer this into a square shaped plate.

    10Cut into squre shape with knife.Fix one almond on each square.

    11Spread some rose petals along with saffron strings,which is goona give colourful look to this yummlicious BARFI..
