ChickPeas Curry
Ingredients
- Chickpeas- 1 can (260 g) water strained, boiled and strained again.
- Ginger- 1″ finely chopped
- Red onion- 1 medium finely sliced
- Green chilly- 1 slit
- Tomato- 1 big chopped
- Curry leaves- 10-15
- Eastern Mustard seeds- 3/4- 1tsp
- Eastern Kashmiri chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Eastern Coriander powder – 2tsps
- Eastern Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
- Sunflower oil- 2 tsp
- Cilantro/coriander leaves- little 🍲
Steps
- In hot oil, add mustard seeds.
- Once it’s popped, add onion, green chilly,and ginger. Sauté.
- In the mean while mix the all the spices (powder) together in little bit of water.
- Add this to the sautéed onion. Let it cook in low heat until the raw smell is gone.
- Now, add tomatoes and curry leaves.
- Cook until it’s blended really.
- Once it’s blended well add the strained chick peas along with some water and coriander
- leaves.
- It won’t take that long as the chick peas is already cooked.
Tips
Please note that as we using only little oil, it will take a while.
