Methi Pepper Chicken

A spicy homemade dish for your surprise  dinners. Chicken is spiced with pepper and flavoured with Dry Methi Leaves. This preparation goes well with Rasam Rice/ Dhal Rice, Phulka / Rotis.

    Ingredients

    Chicken : 1/2 kg

    Onions : 2 Nos.

    Tomato Puree : 1 cup (100 gms)

    Eastern Ginger & Garlic Paste : 2 tbsp

    Pepper : 1 tsp crushed

    Eastern Pepper powder : 1/4 tsp

    Eastern Chilli powder : 1/2 tsp

    kasoori Methi : 2 tbsp (Dry Fenugreek Leaves)

    Bay Leaves : 2 Nos.

    Eastern Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp

    Salt to taste

    Oil : 2 tbsp

    Chilli Powder

    Ginger Garlic Paste

    Pepper Powder

    Turmeric Powder

  • 1Cut Chicken in medium size pieces.

    2Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaves, chopped onions and fry.

    3After a minute add chicken pieces, salt and turmeric, and stir for 2 min till the chicken is 50% cooked.

    4Add Tomato puree, Ginger garlic paste and Crushed Pepper.

    5Stir regularly till the chicken is almost cooked, and close the lid when you’re not stirring.

    6Now add chilli powder, pepper powder and Methi leaves and stir well (no need of closing the lid this time)

    7After a min remove from flame and serve.
